Around Vienna…

Today I wanted to do some things to get ready to leave for my audition.  I’m heading out tomorrow for Bad Homburg (near Frankfurt), and wanted to make sure I had the exact right schedule information.   So after going to a print shop to have extra copies of my resume printed out, I decided to take the UBahn to the Westbahnhof.  That’s one of the major train stations here that goes to western Europe.  I got a nice little print out with times.  This time I was traveling alone and would be checking out the First Class seats that my Rail Pass entitled me to.  At least if I had to endure a really long trip, it would be in nice comfort!

While at the station, I could tell that my blood sugar was feeling a little low, so I decided to grab a little bit of food.  That’s when I saw the bread wrapped in cheese and bacon.  Yes please!

Then instead of taking the UBahn back, I thought I’d walk all the way back to my apartment.  It was chilly out, but there was still some lovely afternoon sunshine to enjoy!  It was about a three mile walk (I checked that on Google Maps) and I thought it would be some good exercise!

I walked up Mariahilfestrasse, which has tons of shops on it.  And it also was my old neighborhood when I came to Vienna two years ago.  I stopped into a few shops to look, but no buying for this girl!  Although I was tempted at the store that had all kinds of awesome tights and stockings.  Seriously, every color and pattern you could think of…..  And even lots of the thigh high socks that I’ve really gotten into – but in SO many more awesome colors and patterns.  It took all my self control to walk out empty handed – haha!

Here are some pics from my walk today…..
