Checking in….

Hey readers,

Sorry for being so MIA lately, but caroling season is in full swing, and I’m super busy singing AND running the business.  We’re going full throttle through Christmas Eve!  Just tomorrow, I’ve got a four hour gig during the day, and a three hour gig in the evening.  Double gig day on Sunday, too.  Then a gig on Monday and Tuesday.  (Plus, I’ve had gigs all this week as well.)

Today I had to take Miloš back to the airport.  His month long visit went by way too fast.  It was a ton cheaper for him to leave from JFK airport (instead of Newark), but it was a traffic nightmare.  I was gone from 9:45am until 7:30pm.  We had about two hours to hang out together at the airport as well before he had to go through security.  I’m exhausted – something about experiencing really strong emotions (and doing a bunch of crying) really makes me tired.  It’s only 8:40pm, but I think I’m going to have a snack and then go to bed.  I’m trying to stay comforted in knowing that it’s only three and a half weeks until we see each other again, which is WAY better than the three months apart leading up to this most recent visit.  It’s still really hard, though.  But I’ll also admit how it’s just really awesome that the longer we’re together, and the more time we spend together, the better and better it gets.  So we’re back to having a countdown, although this one is much smaller.

I’m off for now, but some of the updates coming soon will be:  our Disney Trip from the end of November, more tales from the caroling trail, and my upcoming plans for heading overseas again!
