Connecting…

I was looking back over some of the topics that I’d covered in my blog so far and was reminded how I was having issues earlier in the rehearsal process for “Oklahoma!”  I had been having trouble with the dialogue and felt that too much of my “bad acting” was coming back from when I did the role in high school.

But over the last two nights, we ran the whole show.  I’m happy to report that I’m really feeling a lot better about my ability to create a real and believable character in Laurey and it’s really a great deal of fun!  I’m finally connecting to the emotions, situations, and ultimately the cheesy dialogue (haha!) – and making it my own.

The show is really coming together and has shown immense improvement over the last two weeks!  And in two weeks from now, we’ll be immersed in tech week!

Hope to see some of you at the show!
