Counting down…

(General ramblings….)

So I was noticing that these final days of my countdowns feel like they’re going both fast and slow at the same time.

Going fast, because with both trips they seemed rather far away at the initial planning stages.  This particular Disney trip has literally been three years in the planning.  Now it’s literally almost here. And it was in March that we started planning me coming to Croatia to spend some of Miloš’ vacation with him.  And now it’s 24 days away!  (Not that I’m counting or anything… haha!)

Both trips feel SO close, but this final stretch is suddenly feeling like it’s taking forever!  And my poor friends (in person and especially on FB) are dealing with my constant posts and blabbering about them!  (Sorry folks – I simply cannot hold in all my excitement and enthusiasm! 🙂  )

In the meantime, I’m spending any free time I get outside working on my tan.  Gotta get some good base color before both of these sun-filled trips.  And our insane heat wave here in the northeast is getting my blood ready for the super hot climates I’ll be headed to.  (And with several of my clients traveling to Disney at the same time as my trip, I’m spending time reviewing and checking over everything to make sure everyone’s stuff is all in order.)

Isn’t it great how having something awesome to look forward to can push aside any kind of negative mood that tries to creep in?  I’ve been dealing with some intense stress lately, and looking forward to these trips makes me realize that it’s SO much better to focus on the happy things in life.  Cause I’ve got lots of happy all around me, which is awesome!  😀

Okay now, calender – let’s get a move on!  Hahaha!
