This insane heat wave in the northeast is making it feel like we’re in southern Florida lately. The Graf Pond is so warm on the top layer, jumping in feels like taking a hot bath. The humidity makes the air feel thick, and makes it hard to breathe.
It feels weird not to be heading to Disney this summer, but hopefully I’ll get there sooner than later for my next trip. In the meantime, I’m living vicariously through all of my Disney clients going down there during these couple of months.
I’m continuing with my packing, and getting excited for heading overseas. I can’t reveal the exact date we’re leaving, for family privacy reasons. (My parents don’t want people to know exactly when we’ll be gone.) But I CAN tell you that at the end of July, I’ll be arriving in Croatia – just a few hours before Miloš – we’ll be meeting at the Zagreb airport and then heading to his town of Crikvenica for a day before heading to Makarska and Split for almost two weeks. (Followed by a week together back in his hometown.) When it’s time for him to head back to his ship, I’ll be heading up to Vienna for a few days to visit some of my friends there.
Even though it’s technically “summer,” it feels like the “real summer,” MY real summer, is not quite here. It’s ALMOST here – but not quite. But soon. Really soon. I can’t wait.
p.s. yeah, i totally made up that calendar I was talkin’ about in the last post! 🙂
