Letters from Vienna…

When I got on the plane leaving Philly, I was in quite a good mood.  Sure I was a bit tired from working two consecutive Princess parties (and doing all the driving that that entailed, along with driving straight to the airport.)  The line at security was the worst I’d ever seen it in Philly.  (Insanity!)  But I knew I was fine with time, so I didn’t let it stress me.

While I waited by the gate, I had a nice little online chat with Miloš (which always puts me in a good mood), and before long we were boarding the plane.

As I sat in my seat, it really hit me – I was on that airplane because of the kindness of others – because of people in my life who believe in me and want good things for me.  I can’t even begin to express just how humbling of a feeling that is.  And on top of that, SO many people gave through their words of support and encouragement.  That means so much to me as well.  It’s times like this that I truly realize how fortunate I am.

I regularly like to think of that Shakespeare quote: “I am wealthy in my friends,” and what it really means.  I may not have money, but it’s times like this where I feel so incredibly wealthy in SUCH a more meaningful way.  The people in my life make me feel so blessed.  You ARE the blessings I count when I lie in bed at night.  I feel so truly loved and supported – from my boyfriend, my family, my friends, and my fans – you are all so important to me.  I wish I could truly express the depth of my gratitude and appreciation.

That love and support helps to bring light into my life during those times when I feel the draw of sad, dark places.

Right now I am in Vienna, relaxing in the apartment.  My mantra has been relax and hydrate, relax and hydrate, relax and hydrate….  So today I’m just chillin’.  After my shower, I practiced my arias and am feeling pretty good about them.  The audition is tomorrow at 15:30 (European time, of course, which is around 9:30am EST back home.)    If you remember, send me some good vibes and prayers around that time.

And you know I’ll let you all know how it goes!  Stay tuned here on my blog for an update once I’m done the audition.

Thank you thank you thank you!
