Miltenberg, Germany

Today, we had a short stop in the afternoon in Miltenberg, Germany.  It worked out with my schedule that I was able to go into town and explore.  I only had an hour and a half, so my time was limited, but I really enjoyed this picturesque little town on the banks of the Main River.  I strolled along the pedestrian street, which was paved in cobblestones, and even found a little path that led up and over the top of the town.  On my way back to the ship, I stopped at a little candy shop and bought some chocolate truffles.

(Update: I was able to head into Miltenberg again for a short jaunt today (a sunny day in early September) and get some new pics!  This time I went up to the castle itself and explored the pathway through the wood behind it.  I was able to stop and buy some postcards too – to send to my nieces.  The new pics are all the way down at the bottom!)
