Super insane planning syndrome.

I know I’m not alone in being a planner.  There are others out there who are just like me.  I have come in contact with many of them on the disboards.com.

I truly love planning things out – especially trips.  (And especially Disney trips!)  But I think there’s an element of escapism-wrapped-in-practicality when it comes to planning out an upcoming vacation.  Planning gives you something to look forward to.  It almost makes it feel like you’re getting an early start to your trip.  BUT, it’s not just silly daydreaming, because that well-thought out plan will help you make the most of your time and money when you are away.  Win-win!  😉

Even though it’s still four months away, I’m in super high planning mode for my June Disney trip.  I have my restaurant reservations made and have a basic idea of which parks to do on which days.  I’ve already started my handy-dandy color coded itinerary chart and am thinking of new ideas to get more information and pictures taken for my clients and future clients.

Heck, we’ve even been doing the basic “thought-planning” (meaning, nothing written down – yet!) for our big family trip to Disney in 2012.  I want my nieces to fall in love with Disney World on their first trip in the same way that I did.  Aunt Jen will make this a trip they will remember forever!  So naturally, I’ve been throwing all kinds of ideas around in my head already!

And now that I’m helping OTHER people plan their trips, it’s like I get to be in almost constant planning geek mode!  I love it!
