Update: upcoming last-minute Disney trip. In a week!

Well dear readers, I am excited to report that in a week, I’m headed off to Disney World for a few days!  I have the opportunity to go with one of my fellow travel agents, and I am jumping at the chance!  And this time I’ll be staying at the Polynesian!  I LOVE this resort!  On almost every Disney trip, I find myself either dining at one of the restaurants at the Polynesian, hopping over to visit their gift shops on a Magic Kingdom day, or just walking the grounds ’cause it’s so darn pretty!  But this will be my first time STAYING at the Poly.  (Because I have “DVC”, aka Disney Vacation Club – Disney’s version of a timeshare – I stay at resorts that have DVC villas.  The Poly is not a DVC resort, so I’ve never gotten a chance to stay there – until now!!!)

We’ll be a part of the test program of Disney’s new Magic Bands.  These are wristbands that guests wear which contain all your info – park tickets, room key, dining, fastpasses… it’s ALL on there.  And this new program lets you pre-choose up to three FastPasses per day BEFORE you leave for your trip.  (You can only pick from one park per day as the current system stands.)  We already have FastPasses booked for Animal Kingdom and Epcot.  I have mixed feelings about the new program, so I’m eager to try it out.  And see what methods will be in place to make this system work with the current FastPass system.  You know I’ll of course report back to you and let you know all about it!

I’ll be eager to have another trip to The World in a non-busy time of year.  (It’s been awhile since I’ve done a non-summer trip!)  Looking forward to thinner crowds overall!  🙂

I’m currently working on getting all my other trip blog posts updated before I leave, so fret not, they are on their way!

Current countdown: 7 days ’til Disney!!!!!
